Meet the Minds Behind privalonethius

A dedicated team of financial wellness advocates, researchers, and educators committed to reshaping how Australians think about money and financial wellbeing.

Leading with Purpose and Experience

After spending over fifteen years in traditional banking, I witnessed firsthand how financial stress affects everyday Australians. The turning point came during the 2019 financial crisis when I saw families struggling not just with money, but with the deep-seated beliefs that kept them trapped in cycles of financial anxiety.

privalonethius emerged from this realisation — that true financial wellness starts in the mind, not the bank account. Our approach combines evidence-based psychology with practical financial education, creating lasting change from the inside out.

Our Collaborative Approach

Research & Development

Our research team, led by behavioural economist Dr. Marcus Chen, continuously studies the intersection of psychology and financial decision-making. We partner with universities across Australia to ensure our methods reflect the latest findings in financial psychology and behavioural economics.

Educational Design

Sarah Mitchell, our Head of Learning Experience, brings fifteen years of adult education expertise to create programs that actually stick. Her background in cognitive psychology helps us design learning experiences that create lasting mindset shifts rather than temporary motivation.

Community Connection

We believe financial wellness flourishes in supportive communities. Our community managers, including Indigenous financial educator James Nakamura, ensure our programs remain culturally sensitive and accessible to all Australians, regardless of their starting point or background.
